Selena Gomez is an internationally known actress and singer. The Disney film Wizards of Waverly Place, one of the most prestigious projects she was a part of and has achieved the most successes, is her own project. Selena Marie Gomez is her full name. Born on the 22nd of July 1992, located in Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett is her mother and Ricardo Gomez is her father. Selena's mom was 16 years old at the time she came into the world. She was nine when the actress got her first job in the show industry after she was offered the role of Gianna as Gianna in Barney and her Friends. She was among several children to play with Barney, the famous anthropomorphic pink dinosaur. Selena was a part of several episodes from season 7 and 8 between 2001 and 2003. Selena wasn't the only one to sing who appeared on Barney and His Friends and Demi was also part of the show at that period. Selena Gomez left the show and auditioned in several other films and programs, but did not have much success. There was a small role on Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3D Game Over) in 2003 and one more in 2004 as Julie on Walker Texas Ranger Trial by Fire. She was also cast in the role of Emily Grace Garcia, a person she wrote as a musical in 2006's Brain Zapped.
